Dreamfall: The Longest Journey
It’s been a long time baby, but finally the sequel to the adventure classic The Longest Journey is ready.
You can find a fairly complete (german) game review at Golem.de.
Of course there are also a lot of informations on the official Dreamfall Website.
The game is available for PC as well as for the XBox, so if I find some time and money I’ll probably go for the XBox version.

SourceForge Supports Subversion
Just read an interresting news at Golem.de. SourceForge is going to support Subversion in the future. At the moment they’ll slowly roll out SVN support to some bigger projects but will make it available for everyone soon. Of course they will leave the CVS support as is and the project managers can choose their preferred system. That’s what I call good news

After the byeout of Macromedia the website now is branded with the ADOBE logo – only the favicon and one label „formerly macromedia“ are left. So the interesting question is what will stay and what will be new in the future and if the macromedia products will rest in the product repository of Adobe.

Jetzt wird es lustig, denn nicht nur dass die taz in ihrem neuesten Kino-Werbespot die BILD-Zeitung auf den Arm nimmt. Der Axel Springer Verlag seinerseits hat nun nach verstrichener Frist zur Unterlassung der Ausstrahlung des Spots eine einstweilige Verfügung gegen die taz erwirkt (siehe Link der w&v). Somit liegt „der Dragödie zweiter Teil“ nun bei den Gerichten, die ja bekanntlich sowieso nichts zu tun haben 
Wir dürfen gespannt sein, wohin diese Reise führen wird. Den Werbespot findet man derzeit direkt auf der Startseite der taz rechts verlinkt.

The result of an analysis of Google is that all the web will be indexed within the next 300 years. In the meanwhile we have to rely on that the current indexed stuff is the important one and that no good content gets lost due to Google’s indexing rules.
Shanghai versinkt langsam im Untergrund
Die chinesische Boom-Metropole Shanghai versinkt langsam im morastigen Untergrund. Im vergangenen Jahr sei die 16-Millionen-Einwohner-Metropole um 8,7 Millimeter abgesackt, berichtete die Tageszeitung „Shanghai Daily“ am Donnerstag unter Berufung auf geologische Untersuchungen. Experten zufolge ist das Gewicht der Stadt mit ihren zahlreichen Wolkenkratzern inzwischen zu hoch für den sumpfigen Schwemmland-Boden, auf dem sie erbaut ist. Zudem werde zu viel Grundwasser abgepumpt. Immerhin habe sich das Sink-Tempo abgeschwächt: Im Jahr 2003 ging es mit Shanghai noch 10,4 Millimeter abwärts, im Jahr zuvor waren es gar 11,1 Millimeter.
