Are you lonely? And a girl? Come to YouTube..
It started as a normal story like thousands of people come to YouTube to watch movies or publish their own creations.. In times of social network internet (socalled web 2.0) it’s the community idea pushing the technology..
And as the story goes on a girl appeared at the platform with the sweet nickname lonelygirl15 and started to post videos from herself talking about her life and all the stuff.. And the community listened to her, wrote songs etc..
The end of the story? Everything was a fake: lonelygirl15 is a professional actor from New Zealand, the community is „pissed“
and lonelygirl15 aka Jessica Rose is more a celebrity than before…
What’s the morale of the story? To be prominent don’t tell us who you are but who you are not
Who is Mahir Cagri
Photojournalist Mahir’s personal homepage became an online phenomenon, eventually claiming to hold the world record for most visits. With it’s corny photos and phrases such as “I Kiss You” and “I like to take foto-camera”, it later turned out that Mahir himself was not completely responsible for the site, but instead it was a prankster translator who had spiced up some of the details.

My personal favorite surely is Ellen Feiss.

Warning, shameless self promotion ahead …
Talking of my birthday which is on April 28th, 1979 (Don’t panic, I’ll post a link to my amazon wishlist just in time
) I stumbled upon some interresting entries over at wikipedia.
First there is my year of birth, 1979 when Jennifer Love Hewitt, Bam Margera
and Kimi Räikkönen were born, Zeppo Marx, John Wayne and Mister Ed died and Margaret Thatcher became Prime Minister of Great Britain or something like that
Then, on the actual day April, 28th Jessica Alba, Penélope Cruz and Terry Pratchett were born. Looks like I’m in good company.
Maybe I should send Jessica Alba a birthday card next year? And with even a bigger maybe she might answer. But on the other hand I don’t think so after I posted the link to her images some time ago >:-)
O.K., enough useless information for today. What about you? What happened on your birthday? Write a comment or two … I’m always interrested.
Sascha out!
P.S.: Did I already mention I love wikipedia?
Trevor Tahiem Smith?
Who is Trevor Tahiem Smith you might ask now. Well, I’m pretty sure you know him as well as his colleagues Andre Romel Young, Anna Mae Bullock or Alecia Moore.
Check out those and other real names of hip hop and rnb artists.
Oh … their pseudonyms are (in order of appearance): Busta Rhymes, Dr. Dre, Tina Turner and Pink
I’ve been looking for freedom
We had to wait a long time for this, but now it’s here:
The Hasselhoff Image Database Creating world peace since 2005…
Folks, I really love this sort of stuff! Learn more about The Hoff at the Uncyclopedia.
Did you know David Hasselhoff himself forced the german reunion by singing his all time classic „Looking for Freedom“?
What a man!
He also was a superhero when not rescuing dumb surfers. Did you notice Adam West looks like miss piggy in this image?
While surfing for references for this entry I just found another great Hoff image resource: hoff.za.net
By the way … most of this entry is pure irony … so if you really want to learn something about David Hasselhoff, check out his Wikipedia Article.
Over and out.
AeonFlux
There are a couple of reasons why you should watch the upcoming movie Aeon Flux:
- The Movie Trailer rocks
- You’re a fan of the classic MTV cartoon series
- You love futuristic, Matrix like movies
- You think Charlize Theron is just damn hot
See you in the cinema!
Slither
Starla, the most beautiful woman in her small town, enlists the help of Bill, the handsome young police chief, to deal with her husband, Grant.
Grant is infected with an alien plague, which has turned him into a slithering, flesh-eating creature. As Grant’s murder spree evolves from pets to people, the disease threatens to overrun the town with slithering, worm-like creatures.
Now it’s up to Starla and Bill to stop the plague before it spreads further and kills everything on Earth.
Slither is the new movie by James Gunn who’s also partly responsible for Dawn of the Dead. It will hit cinemas January 2006 if I’m right and there’s not much information available on it at the moment
So, why am I telling you this useless stuff anyway?
Go, watch, have fun and take care!
Yes, we’re famous!
